Printing Operator
Chemical Company in the Howell, NJ area is seeking a printing operator for first shift. This is a full time contract to hire position with overtime and health benefits available.
Responsibilities include:
1. Operate and maintain production equipment including digital printing press and finisher, thermal printers and more
2. Determine prepress requirements by reviewing job tickets
3. Diagnose and correct potential production problems contained within design files including digital file sizes, printing issues and finishing concerns.
4. Inspect and examine printed labels for print clarity, color accuracy, conformance to specifications and external defects.
5. Monitor feeding, and printing of labels
6. Input instructions in order to program automated machinery
7. Operate & maintain pail label machine
8. Identifies methods of waste reduction, suggesting implementation as indicated.
9. Keeping inventory of all print supplies. Placing orders when necessary
II. JOB REQUIREMENTS/BACKGROUND
1. Two years of college or service bureau/print shop experience.
2. Proficient working capabilities using Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, In design, Adobe Acrobat and other layout/design software.
3. Knowledge of printing terminology and practices,
4. Experience with Primera Label Printers, PTP and PT finish
5. Experience with PC and MS OfficeEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
